Dr Tarmala Caple
Psychologist and Wellbeing Coach
Tarmala is the principal psychologist and founder of The Wellbeing Psychologist.
She is a Registered Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience assisting people with a wide range of mental health conditions, workplace issues and everyday challenges.
She has a keen interest in anxiety, stress, burnout, occupational trauma, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, and personal development.
She also holds an endorsement in forensic psychology.
Tarmala has a wealth of experience delivering wellbeing services to individuals and employers in a range of settings and industries, such as corrections, law, health, mining and construction. She also has extensive experience providing support to police officers, police employees and defence force members.
In addition to her psychology training, Tarmala has a Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition and she has completed Level 3 Wellness Coaching with Wellness Coaching Australia.
Tarmala takes a comprehensive approach to wellbeing and to further develop her skills in this area she is currently undertaking yoga and mindfulness teacher training.
Tarmala’s training in psychology, nutrition and wellness coaching gives her a unique combination of skills to help people find innovative solutions to improve their wellbeing.
When not working in her practice, Tarmala enjoys getting outdoors, and loves being anywhere near water, especially the beach.

Provisionally Registered Psychologist/Counsellor
Sam has joined our team as a provisional psychologist after recently completing her Master of Professional Psychology. Sam is currently completing her 1-year internship under the supervision of Dr Tarmala Caple. (You can learn more about the difference between a registered psychologist and a provisional psychologist HERE).
Sam has worked in a diverse range of roles for over 16 years and after a rewarding career in these areas, she decided to pursue her passion for psychology, undertaking further study to complete her psychology degree.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and need support to navigate the challenges you are experiencing, Sam can help you develop skills to feel calm and at ease so you can live a more fulfilled and enriched life.
Sam loves to support people navigate anxiety, stress, and life’s challenges. If you would like to find practical skills to improve your wellbeing, Sam has been trained in a range of strategies. She can also help you incorporate mindfulness into your everyday life to help you manage anxiety and stress. Sam has practised mindfulness herself, so you are in great hands.
If you would love to see Sam but aren’t close to our Wellbeing space, you can book a telehealth appointment. Sam has been trained to work with people by telehealth and her warm and engaging presence helps people feel comfortable in no time.
Sam works on Mondays.

Leanne is The Wellbeing Psychologist’s administration assistant providing behind-the-scenes support to the team, and supporting our clients with their bookings and enquiries.
Leanne works Tuesday to Friday and is available to answer any questions who might have about our services and who will be the best fit for you based on our therapists experience and interest areas. Please don’t hesitate to phone or email as we are here to make your journey as simple as possible.
Psychologist & Yoga Teacher
Jess is a Registered Psychologist and yoga instructor.
She believes in a holistic approach to wellbeing, and she is passionate about promoting physical and mental health using her training in yoga, nutrition and clinical psychology.
In her spare time, you’ll find Jess running, at the beach or in the bush, practising yoga, drinking coffee, or some combination of the above!
