Dr Tarmala Caple
Psychologist and Wellbeing Coach
Tarmala is the principal psychologist and founder of The Wellbeing Psychologist.
She is a Registered Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience assisting people with a wide range of mental health conditions, workplace issues and everyday challenges.
She has a keen interest in anxiety, stress, burnout, occupational trauma, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, and personal development.
She also holds an endorsement in forensic psychology.
Tarmala has a wealth of experience delivering wellbeing services to individuals and employers in a range of settings and industries, such as corrections, law, health, mining and construction. She also has extensive experience providing support to police officers, police employees and defence force members.
In addition to her psychology training, Tarmala has a Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition and she has completed Level 3 Wellness Coaching with Wellness Coaching Australia.
Tarmala takes a comprehensive approach to wellbeing and to further develop her skills in this area she is currently undertaking yoga and mindfulness teacher training.
Tarmala’s training in psychology, nutrition and wellness coaching gives her a unique combination of skills to help people find innovative solutions to improve their wellbeing.
When not working in her practice, Tarmala enjoys getting outdoors, and loves being anywhere near water, especially the beach.

Tarmala works Wednesday to Saturday.
She is currently not taking new clients. Session booking is available for existing clients only.
Kathy is a Registered Psychologist committed to assisting people work through life challenges in a way that is meaningful to them. She has worked in workplace rehabilitation and employment services for a number of years.
Kathy has a keen interest in working with those experiencing anxiety, addictions, grief and loss, depression and loss of direction in life. She is experienced in providing a range of individual therapies, including strengths based approaches and positive psychology interventions.
Kathy enjoys engaging in most creative activities, caring for her growing plant collection and spending time outdoors.
Kathy works Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Provisionally Registered Psychologist/Counsellor
Nynke is a Provisionally Registered Psychologist, having completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree in 2018. Although she has only recently started her career in psychology, Nynke has over 10 years of experience assisting people cope with life challenges. She has been working as a counsellor for the last couple of years supporting people who are experiencing grief after loss, and those coping with the challenges of separation and divorce.
Prior to moving to Australia to study psychology, Nynke studied social work in the Netherlands, her country of birth. During her studies, she completed internships in various organisations and was the Chairwoman of the ‘National Organisation for Bereaved Siblings’ and a Board Member for the ‘Organisation for Parents of a Deceased Child’.
Nynke loves working collaboratively with people on creating tailored plans to build their strengths and emotional resilience, so they can successfully navigate life’s challenges.
When not working, Nynke enjoys catching up and connecting with her friends.
Nynke works on Mondays.

Psychologist & Yoga Teacher
Jess is a Registered Psychologist and yoga instructor.
She believes in a holistic approach to wellbeing, and she is passionate about promoting physical and mental health using her training in yoga, nutrition and clinical psychology.
In her spare time, you’ll find Jess running, at the beach or in the bush, practising yoga, drinking coffee, or some combination of the above!

Leanne is The Wellbeing Psychologist’s administration assistant providing behind-the-scenes support to the team, and supporting our clients with their bookings and enquiries.
Leanne works Wednesday to Friday.
